Samantha grew up in Spokane, Washington on 20 acres. Her parents gave her a horse and said, “Be back by dinner!” so she spent more of her formative years on the back of a horse (learning, showing, hacking, wandering, dreaming…) than she did with her feet on the ground. She was lucky enough to travel from an early age, going to Argentina to see her dad’s side of the family every few years, and her family traveled extensively through South America. Samantha went to school to get her teaching degree and taught for several years as the Navy moved her family from Connecticut to Naples, Italy, to Hawaii. When she moved to Aiken her daughter was 6 and son was 14 months – they are now 21 and 16! Samantha is fluent in Spanish, loves to cook and travel, and knows that the barn is about one of the most peaceful places on Earth!
